See our April 09 Summary sheet for sample of additional costs associated with a cat in competition. Official JA Ring will be on April 18th, but cats can be entered in competition for both days.
Over the past few years we have been introducing you to The International Cat Association's Junior Achievers Program.
We are excited to announce that JA participaton will be presented at all of our annual April Spring Shows! SACCF is proud to sponsor our TICA Junior Achievers.
Your interest and support has helped to make the program a success! Thank you!
You must be at least 8 years of age and under 18 years to enroll in the program. To meet the "handling" requirement, you'll need to show a cat. At the Novice level, the Cat can be owned by you, your family, friends or rescue groups, etc. Of course your special household pet can be a part of your experience too! Registrants must be a member of TICA Junior Achievers or a Junior member of a TICA local Cat Association. That is like our club, Southern Alberta Calgary Cat Fanciers or the Edmonton Cat Fanciers.
Check out the TICA Official JA Site. Read over all the information sections, noting the Novice Level etc. Youths will compete in JA Rings and learn as they advance through achievement levels. You don't need to be officially enrolled in the program to show your cat for the first time. Enrollment forms will also be available from the JA Rep at the show hall. If you've not been a Ring Steward at a TICA show before, let us know. You can obtain further support by becoming a member of our NW Junior Achiever site.
